Smooth tempo to sweep fairway woods

Keep the club low on takeaway and low through impact.

The ball should be hit with a slightly descending blow and fairway woods should be swung with the same tempo used for a seven-iron and avoid trying to lift the ball with the club by either collapsing the left arm or straightening up the ball should be swept off the turf.

Position the ball opposite your left heel, which should be the bottom of your swing arc.

Keep your head steady throughout the swing and don't be tempted to look up or you will be sure to duff it.

Make an aggressive swing and follow-through without steering the ball.

Brush the grass rather than taking a divot.

A seven woods should be played in the middle of the stance, with hands in front of ball at address.
