Leave them in the locker

One of the best pieces of advice I heard regarding long irons was if you cannot hit them well then leave them in the locker and use a fairway wood!

Not much use as a tip but if you really have trouble with these clubs then they are better in the locker where they cannot hurt you until you can practice with them and gain your confidence.
